About

Kelly Hulsey believes working with the raw materials of the natural world is one of the greatest art forms. Placing people as its centerpiece, Kelly creates living, breathing, growing and ever-changing works of art.

Collaboration with other Craftsmen, Architects, Home Builders, Landscape Contractors, Stone Masons and Engineers is a hallmark of Kelly’s process. She learned early in her career that the most successful projects were achieved by including a team of professionals in the creative process.

Born in Birmingham, AL, Kelly attended Wake Forest University and Auburn University, finishing her graduate work at University of Virginia. She received her Landscape Design and Horticulture Degree at Jefferson State Community College. She is married to Duncan Hulsey and is mother to Lily and Duncan, jr.

In addition to her work as a Landscape Designer, Kelly is President of Amistad Mission, a home for abandoned and abused children in Cochabamba, Bolivia. She has traveled back and forth to Bolivia since 2010, actively raising funds for this Children’s Home. One of her greatest joys is introducing new visitors to Amistad Mission. In her moments away from work, she spends time with her family, studies the Spanish Language, tends her own garden, and cooks.
